Positively canine held a Bronze & Silver trial at the stunning Himalayan Gardens near Ripon.

Both trials were held in the nursey gardens.  On the whole some lovely confident teams with a great relationship & understanding of their dogs.

Bronze consisted of an outdoor area with some trailers,  a small vehicle in a polytunnel and the outside of a polytunnel.  The first hide was places in the far corner of the 1st trailer and the 2nd was placed on the front of the vehicle.

Unfortunately we had 4 eliminated due to toileting in the search area.

The remaining teams most found the hide on the trailer but none located the one on the vehicle,  this was mainly due to dogs not given enough of an opportunity to work the area.

Silver

This was in a different area that consisted of a locked shed,  several large wooden stands with plants on,  and a large polytunnel with plants, pots,  shelving, trolleys and hose pipes.

The 1st hide was located not too far from the start on the front of the shed tucked at the bottom of the door behind a metal plate,  the second hide was located to inside the poly tunnel to the left inside part of the hose pipe reel.

Handlers struggled to cover the area as there was a lot to navigate and some missed areas, especially when dogs picked up on an odour and pinged off to it.  A reminder to have a plan and try and stick to it!
