This club and bronze level trial took place at the Holy Redeemer Church in York and was judged by Charlotte at York Mantrailing.
This was our first time at this church. The club trial took place in the lady chapel, a smaller carpeted area just off the main entrance. The alter, at the front of the room, was sectioned off with railings, this was not part of the search area. Around the rest of the room where several chairs and some tables, with piles of books. There was only one door into the area which was at the front of the room. At the back of the room was a long pew and the hide was tucked into a wheelchair that was being stored next to this. Almost all of the dogs found the hide, some passed the area before revisiting to make the find and indicate. All of the dogs were eager to search as soon as they entered the room.

The bronze trial took place in the main church which is a massive area with stone floors and long wooden pews. The search area consisted of 5 rows of pews, as well as the walk ways at either end of these and a wide walk way in the middle of the room. There were also large stone pillars within the search area. The venue is not heated and the room was very cold. The first hide was located in the far walk way, tucked behind a bench. This was found by all of the dogs. The second hide was located between two kneelers, stored on the back of a pew. This was located by most of the dogs, but some failed to search the back of the pew and so didn't locate the hide. Overall the teams did some brilliant searching, for many this was their first bronze trial.
