This search area was an outdoor area of the industrial units comprising of the front of the workshop complete with large piles of equipment, tractor parts and a skip. The side of the barn and the opposite wall with 3 lorries along the walls. The first hide was in a tap at the end of the first side of the barn, the second was in the wall between two lorries and a third was directly opposite this and was low down below a gate but inaccessible.
There was some excellent searching by all teams at this level, using their time well (8mins). No dog managed to locate and indicate on all three hides, but the finds they did get were equally mixed, with the wall behind the lorries proving to be missed the most as handlers concentrated on the lorries and missed the wall. Good solid indication from dogs as you would expect at this level.
The first hide was tricky to get to as you came around a large pile of equipment and could easily skip going in this corner, all handlers covered this well, the wall hide was on a gap in the wall between the two lorries and most handlers missed this area. The inaccessible hide under the gate proved interesting, some dogs left the search area under the gate and indicated briefly but could not hold this out of sight of the handler, they were called back out to carry on searching and did not go back, two dogs did lovely indications from the gate as close as they could get. On the whole excellent work from all teams, its was challenging, as it should be at this level but searched very well.
