The trial took place in an outside storage compound containing large bails of bedding and feed.

The first hide was located just at the beginning of the search area to the right hand side between 2 log bags about 2ft above the ground. The second hide was located half way around the search area in a bag of wood chip bedding.

Most dogs located this hide efficiently and independently, leading to some very nice indications. The first hide provided more of a challenge, wind direction didn’t help and some handlers didn’t cover this area of the search in much detail resulting in the hide being missed. Overall some really nice work this evening, it was lovely to see some new teams and they showed lots of potential for the future so keep up the good work. For those that have been competing a while I really did find it difficult to find faults in your handling, so a big congratulations to you
