This club level trial took place at Clifton Parish Church in York and was judged by Charlotte at York Mantrailing.

This was our first time at the church, which is a beautiful space, set just outside York City Centre. The search area was a smaller carpeted room, just off the nave. The room contained 4 sofas, one large round table with chairs, 3 small square tables, a coffee table, piano and some chairs stacked in the corner. A door led into the kitchen, from the search area, but was kept closed. Like the rest of the church, this room had a very high ceiling and a beautiful stained glass window. The teams entered the search area via sliding glass doors from the nave.

The hide was hidden under the front foot of the piano. Seven teams competed and all dogs found the hide, a few dogs took a while to indicate clearly and some continued the search before sweeping back round to the hide to indicate. Overall the standard was exceptional with some very well deserved high scores as well as some key learning points to take aw
